The Primary School in in the village of Msitu wa Tembo, Tanzania.

Although the primary school in Msitu wa Tembo was on a holiday period when I visited it last week, it was good to get some idea of the facilities.  There are four classrooms which are all very basic, with corrugated tin roofs and grills at the windows.  There was a blackboard on one wall.  I counted twenty-five double seated desk/chairs in one classroom which amounts to possibly 50 children in the class if it is two to a desk – or as someone mentioned, a lot more if it is three pupils to a desk.  I wait for my return in 2019 to find out the answer.  The outside play area, which included a basketball court was a dry mud area. Probably a little different in the rainy season!
